Crucial skills and qualities

The role of the Additional Director is to provide real estate expertise and Queensland-based strategic advice in the progression of the REIA Strategy 2022 – 2025 – Advancing Australia’s Prosperity.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are being invited from active contributors with the following skills and qualities:

• Senior real estate practitioner with experience in small and middle-sized agency roles such as: principal, operations, sales or property management
• Expertise in Queensland real estate markets and demonstrated comprehensive networks within the real estate sector in Queensland
• Demonstrated commitment to advancing the ethics, transparency, and integrity of the Queensland real estate industry
• Availability to travel to in-person board meetings each quarter and contribute to out-of-session virtual activities  
• Willingness to complete relevant Board continued learning and orientation 
• Legal, financial, and risk management acumen to provide oversight of REIA as a small not-for-profit company limited by guarantee
• Excellent judgment and communications skills
• Queensland metro or regionally based

The REIA Board is a volunteer and industry good board. All reasonable economy travels, expenses and continued learning will be provided by REIA.
